Asking for a quotation

Include as much of the following as you have. A complete enquiry usually comes back with a firm offer; an incomplete one comes back with questions, which costs both of us a day.

• Product and grade, with the element content required
• Quantity for the first shipment and the expected annual volume
• Destination port and Incoterm
• Packaging, and whether palletisation is required
• Payment terms
• Registration status of the product in the destination market

Send your product list with technical data sheets, the tonnage you can commit, and how your sales are organised for this region, including whether a distributor already holds the territory.
